Bel en Blanc is a wish to make interesting Muscadelle in Bordeaux and a wine that is meant to pair with meal. Aged for 2.5 years in demi-muids to bring up a soft touch of tannin in the wine which compensate a lack of acidity of the variety. The wine shows aromas of honey, pineapple, lemon and a soft touch of minerals. Complex and concentrated.
Chateau de Bel is an independent boutique winery based in Bordeaux. The property was purchased by Olivier Cazenave in 2003 after endless searching, with the ambition of making tasty and affordable wines which also represent their own style. The vineyards were restructured in 2005, planting high quality Merlot and especially Cabernet Franc which is one of Olivier’s favourite varietals. In 2016, all the vineyards are cultivated with biodynamic agriculture, to make the wines more pleasurable, healthy and respectful.
