Details
All the best qualities of our top grape variety, Monastrell, are expressed in this young varietal wine. The grapes are harvested by hand the first week of October. Then the must macerates in stainless-steel tanks, taking special care in the daily remontage, to extract as much colour and taste from the skins and other solid grape material. It is then fermented in a temperature-controlled tank. With attractive fruit aromas, this is a mature wine with the roundness of the Monastrell grape, well balanced with pleasant sweetness and a lasting bouquet. Great with typical Spanish stews, paellas and red meat, goat and sheep cheese, mushrooms and all sorts of tapas.
Background
Being in a lesser-known appellation in South-East of Spain, Bodegas Bleda provide their wines in a very reasonable price as well as exciting quality. The grapes are all cultivated in organic practice, although the wines are not organic certified. The resulting wines are with good concentration, balanced acidity and complex.
