This is a classic style of Gewürztraminer with the signature note of lychee, peach and white flower. The sweetness is slightly sweeter than the usual feinherb, yet balanced by a fresh acidity. The mid palate is round with satisfying intensity of fruits. It ends with lingering finish with a soft touch of minerals.
Weingut Rappenhof is one of the 200 members of VDP, the national association of top quality wine estates from all German wine growing regions. The VDP has their own classification of defined terroir and also restriction of harvest yields to ensure quality. Wines from Weingut Rappenhof have good intensity and precise structure, representing the style of quality Rheinhessen wines.
